Day 01 : Arrival Cochin
Depart for Kerala, India our exciting journey to Kerala begins as we board our overnight to Cochin. Upon arrival at Cochin and after clearing customs and immigration procedures and collecting our bags we are met and warmly welcomed by The Travel Planners ground staff and transferred to our hotel for immediate check in. As we drive to our hotel European influences in the architecture of this charming town picturesquely located on a number of islands squeezed between the Arabian Sea and the Kerala backwaters are instantly apparent. Reflecting the maritime history of Kochi, the old buildings are a blend of Dutch, Portuguese and British architecture. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02 : COCHIN SIGHTSEEING
Second day of Kerala Tour Packages from Mumbai; starts with relaxed breakfast at the Restaurant. Later in the noon, we take a short walking tour of Fort Kochi visiting St. Francis Church the oldest European church in India, the highly decorated Santa Cruz Basilica followed by visit to the harbour where we see the famous Chinese fishing nets in action… Afterwards, back to hotel. Overnight stay in hotel.
DAY 03: COCHIN – MUNNAR [140 KM /APPROX. 4 HRS]
Morning drive to Munnar covering a distance of 130 kms / 4 hrs, enroute visit Cheyyappara Waterfalls. On the way to Munnar you can see tea gardens spread like a green carpet over hundreds of kilometers, lush green hills, a place so difficult to describe, very low population too far from pollution, most of the area covered by Tata tea. On arrival check into the hotel. Overnight stay in hotel/resort.
DAY 04: MUNNAR – THEKKADY [110 KM/APPROX. 3.5 HRS]
Fourth day of Kerala Tour Packages from Mumbai; starts with morning sightseeing in Munnar which includes Mattupetty, Eco-Point, Tea Museum, Pothamedu etc. Afternoon drive to Thekkady covering a distance of 110 kms / 3.5 hrs through cardamom hills. Check into the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 05: THEKKADY
This morning after breakfast, go for thekkady sightseeing. Visit spice plantation like cardamom, Pepper, Coffee, and tea estate etc… On way back to hotel you could stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant spices. Overnight stay at hotel/resort.
DAY 06: THEKKADY – KUMARAKOM [145 KM/APPROX. 4 HRS]
After breakfast drive to Kumarakom. A Kerala family tour package is incomplete without a trip to this village settlement on the Vembanad lake. Meandering waterways, canopies of coconut trees and many other sights make this a memorable destination for most visitors. Upon arrival, you will be checking into your pre-booked hotel. Overnight stay at hotel/resort.
DAY 07: KUMARAKOM – ALLEPPEY [18 KM/APPROX. 30 MINS]
Seventh day of Kerala Tour Packages from Mumbai; starts with breakfast. An eventful joyride on a traditional Kerala houseboat is the number one activity for any family tour in Kerala. After breakfast, proceed to Alleppey. On arrival you will be boarding a Premium/Luxury houseboat which will cruise through Alleppey’s winding waterways, providing an insight into the lifestyle, culture and unrelenting beauty of small fishing villages. DAY 08: ALLEPPEY – COCHIN [54 KM /APPROX. 1.5 HRS]
After breakfast, you will be disembarking the houseboat and departure transfer to Cochin International Airport/Railway station for your onward journey.
